An exceptionally rare, limited-edition Patek Philippe World Time, produced in just 25 examples in 18ct rose gold to commemorate the manufacture’s 2013 Munich Grand Exhibition.
The reference 5130R-020 Munich Edition was created to celebrate Patek Philippe’s KunstWerkUhr Grand Exhibition, held in Munich in October 2013. Produced in extremely limited numbers, the edition comprises just 25 examples in rose gold and 25 in white gold, making it one of the rarest variations of the celebrated reference 5130 World Time.
What distinguishes the Munich Edition from the standard production model is its unique central guilloché dial, featuring an intricate diamond-shaped motif inspired by the traditional blue-and-white Bavarian flag. The city ring is also specially configured, with Munich replacing Paris and highlighted in blue as a tribute to the host city.
Housed in an elegant 39.5mm 18ct rose gold case, the watch is powered by Patek Philippe’s ultra-thin automatic calibre 240 HU, featuring a 22ct gold micro-rotor and displaying all 24 time zones simultaneously. Local time can be adjusted using the patented pusher at 10 o’clock, allowing the wearer to change time zones without affecting the accuracy of the movement.
Dated 2014, this exceptional World Time represents a rare opportunity to acquire a highly collectible, historically significant Patek Philippe special edition, distinguished by its extremely limited production, unique dial design and connection to one of the manufacture’s landmark exhibitions.
